or take a class to learn how to give reiki, you might have wondered how to prepare yourself. The quality of your energy field affects your relationships, your physical health, mental clarity, and emotional stability. So, first, good for you making the
cleansing of your energy field a priority!
Energy moves smoothly when it encounters less resistance, so here's a few practical ways to detox in preparation for giving or receiving reiki:
#1. Eat clean. A whole food plant-based diet is appropriate for most people to get high-quality nutrition with no sluggish animal by-products.
#2. Hydrate. Drink plenty of water and herbal tea while avoiding (or limiting) caffeine and sugary beverages that dehydrate the body and stress out your kidneys.
#3. Daily quiet time. Clear your mind by leaving the earbuds at home when you go for your daily walk, and turn off the tv. This will help you tune into the reiki session when you give or receive a treatment.
#4. Awareness of your own energy field. You are not just your body. Your energy field extends inches to feet off your physical body, and you need to protect your energy as well as be aware of how your energy may affect others.
